Keeping It Local (Even From Afar)

Knoxville has long been a community that rallies. We have supported each other in times of strife, joy, and all those places in between. We have found strength in diversity, fought adversity, and paved the way for countless beginnings, be they meager or grand. Now, more than ever, we must band together in the spirit of our great city and lend a hand where we can. Here are a few ways we can all help:
🧡 Downtown Knoxville is a one-stop-shop for all things food and fun. They’ve compiled a list of restaurants, online stores, and daily essential businesses to meet most any need, right from the comfort and safety of your home.
💛 Old City Knoxville has a helpful list of support organizations to aid those seeing financial hardships, small businesses, and service industry professionals.
💚 The Local Love Box is keeping “date night” alive with weekly meals and performances from local restaurants and artists.
💙 Zoo Knoxville is accepting donations to help keep the animals safe, fed, and cared for through their Emergency Animal Relief Fund.
💜 United Way of Greater Knoxville helps with the financial needs of local non-profits. They are accepting donations AND volunteers!
❤️ MEDIC Regional Blood Center is always in need of blood and plasma donations.
These are just a few of the opportunities to help give back to the community and support local businesses, artists, and more. Please share with your friends and neighbors, and feel free to provide links in the comments to additional ways we can help keep the Volunteer Spirit of East Tennessee alive and thriving! 💚🌿
