It's a Home Run for CBD as the MLB Removes Cannabis from It's Banned Substances List

In a curve ball move,  Major League Baseball has become the first major American sports league to remove marijuana, THC, and CBD from it's list of prohibited substances.

In association with its players union, the MLB announced the change on the morning of December 12th, 2019. Moving forward, the drug will still be tested for, as it's usage policies will be in line with those of alcohol and violence, and abusers could still face charges related to its use.

This comes as a major win while cannabis-based products move further into the public eye. Several states have legalized recreational use of THC-inclusive cannabis, and most states have legalized the ownership, sale, and usage of CBD.
